FAQs

I hope I will have answered your most common questions here but if not please drop me an email to hello@thesoapcoach.co.uk or get in touch via Facebook or Instagram messages.

Can I book my son or daughter on a course with me?  Yes I can take age 16 plus on a group class or for aged 11 plus you can book a private group. As long as there are at least 3 it will be the standard rate, For 1 or 2 persons see below.

Can I book a 1 to 1 lesson. Yes no problem at all. I do lots of these. Prices are £175 for a 3 hour half day starting at 10am or 1pm or £320 for a day which is around 10am to 4.00 pm with a 45 minute break for lunch. If you would like to bring someone with you who will also want to make soap there will be an additional 20% cost. The best bit about these are that we can tailor them to cover exactly what you would like to learn. Drop me an email to discuss your requirements and we can take it from there.

Can I book a private group workshop? Yes of course you can. I ask that there is a minimum of 3 persons to make this viable for me. Prices are £75 pp for a half day or £135pp for a full day but if you can get a group of 6 together then one goes free.

Can I book a soap making demo for my WI group (or similar)yes of course. I do group Zoom demos on a regular basis. These are £60 for a 1 hour demo. If you would like an in person demo please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Can I use my soap straight away? Unfortunately no. You are looking at a minimum 4 week cure for cold process and ideally 2 weeks for hot process. But they do say patience is a virtue :)

I am not very creative/science minded. Will I be able to do it? As long as you can weigh accurately and follow instructions yes you will definitely be able to make soap. All students leave saying they feel they would have the confidence to make more soap at home.

Are the premises wheelchair accessible? I am happy to say yes - I am completely wheelchair accessible with roadside parking , easy wide access through the doorway and a wheel chair friendly WC with hand rails and low sink
