I hope I will have answered your most common questions here but if not please drop me an email to email@example.com or get in touch via Facebook or Instagram messages.
Can I book my son or daughter on a course with me? Unfortunately all the soap making workshops are only suitable for adults of 18 plus due to the nature of the ingredients involved and my insurance company! There are however various Melt and Pour Soap Making Kits available which are ideal for children as the tricky bit has already been done for them.
Can I book a 1 to 1 lesson. Yes no problem at all. I do lots of these. Prices are £150 for a 3 hour half day starting at 10am or 1pm or £290 for a full day which is around 10am to 4.30 pm with a 45 minute break for lunch. If you would like to bring someone with you who will also want to make soap there will be an additional 20% coat. The best bit about these are that we can tailor them to cover exactly what you would like to learn. Drop me an email to discuss your requirements and we can take it from there.
Can I book a private group workshop? Yes of course you can. I ask that there is a minimum of 3 persons to make this viable for me. Prices are £75 pp for a half day or £135 for a full day but if you can get a group of 6 together then one goes free.
How many people can book on to a work shop? A maximum of 6 but I have seating for 8 so if a couple of you would like to share a spot that is absolutely fine - and you can just take home half the amount of soap! There are certain points in the process that I need to keep a really close eye so if I do any more than 6 there would be too much waiting around in between and I can't have you getting bored :)
Can I book a soap making demo for my WI group (or similar)yes of course. I do group Zoom demos on a regular basis. These are £60 for a 1 hour demo. If you would like an in person demo please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Can I use my soap straight away? Unfortunately no. You are looking at a minimum 4 week cure for cold process and ideally 2 weeks for hot process. But they do say patience is a virtue :)
Can I buy ingredients on the day to make more soap while the process is still fresh in my mind? Yes you can! For £24 you can take home a batch of butters/oils, a blend of essential oils and a bottle of lye which will allow you to make another 1200g approx of soap at home plus enough lye left over to make another 6 batches. And yes I take cards! I also sell a range of basic equipment and moulds to get you started.
I am not very creative/science minded. Will I be able to do it? As long as you can weigh accurately and follow instructions yes you will definitely be able to make soap. All students leave saying they feel they would have the confidence to make more soap at home.
Are the premises wheelchair accessible? I am happy to say yes - I am completely wheelchair accessible with roadside parking , easy wide access through the doorway and a wheel chair friendly WC with hand rails and low sink
